About
Hi, I'm Julia — working mom of three and host of Home Cooked Stories.
I started this podcast because I believe food is one of the most revealing lenses we have on a life. Not what we eat — but everything that surrounds it. The conversations that happen over a meal. The traditions we carry forward and the ones we quietly reinvent. The way eating somewhere new can teach you something about a culture that no guidebook could.
Home Cooked Stories isn't a cooking show. It's a conversation — honest, warm, and occasionally very funny — about legacy, culture, health, travel, and what it really means to show up for your family in the middle of a full life. I talk with food and travel writers, chefs who've built something from scratch, doctors who think deeply about how we nourish ourselves, and parents who are figuring it out alongside me.
Because the small, consistent moments — the ones that happen around food — that's where real life actually lives.
